Abstract Submissions

    Alert for Mac Users, if you are having trouble submitting your abstract/synopsis, try submitting from a PC. If you are still having trouble, please contact the secretariat.

    Ensure your abstract text is less than 300 words – it will not allow you to paste larger submissions. The word count does NOT include your title, authoring or cited references

  • During the submission process, you will be asked for the below information. Please ensure you have all required items to complete your abstract submission.

    Abstract title

    Abstract Category. If you cannot find a category that is an ideal fit for your abstract, choose the most appropriate and the scientific committee will assist in finding the best fit for you in the program.

  • To assist the Committee in deciding if your abstract is selected for the final conference program, please adhere to the following guidelines:

    The submitting presenter must ensure that all co-presenters have read and approved the title, summary, presenter names and affiliations.

    The abstract content must be no more than 300 words in length.

    ABSTRACT TITLE

    Do NOT capitalize all letters in the title of the abstract. Capitalise the first letter of all major words in the title as well as prepositions, articles and conjunctions of four letters or more.

    AUTHORS AND AFFILIATIONS

    Please list the complete first name, middle initials (optional), last name and institutional affiliation, as it should be listed in the conference publication if selected for presentation.

    John Smith(1) and Rebecca Best(2)

  • Yes you can edit your submission (including Title, Content, Authors or Presenting author) after you have submitted it, you can do this up until the Submission deadline.

    To do so, please log into your online registration dashboard.

    Click on Abstracts tab and then on the “View submission" to edit the abstract.

    You will be able to select the areas to edit via the horizontal menus.

  • Notification of programming decisions will come from the secretariat shortly after the expiry of deadlines and the working program will be posted to the website. It will also appear on your own ‘dashboard’.

    Abstract notifications will be sent before the earlybird registration deadline.

    The notification will include specific presentation instructions but in the interim, those preparing posters should note the maximum size allowed is 100cm wide by 120cm deep. Velcro will be available to fix the poster to the boards.

    Computer data projection is the preferred presentation method for orals.

. Notifications to submitters will be sent via email prior to the earlybird deadline of 5 May 2023.

Poster Abstract submissions are still open. The Poster deadline is 5 May 2023.
